Microdermabrasion in Charlotte, NC

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is the newest way to rejuvenate and revitalize your skin in just an afternoon! It uses a jet of fine crystals to smoothen skin. Microdermabrasion works in two ways. First it gently exfoliates the outside layers of the skin allowing smoother, fresher shin to appear. Second, the vacuum action helps to stimulate microdermabrasion circulation and lymphatic flow, increasing the blood supply that provides nutrients needed for skin regeneration. This helps accelerate the skin’s repair process and stimulates the formation of new collagen and elastin, thereby improving skin texture and elasticity. The procedure is virtually pain-free.

What Can MicrodermabrasionTreat?

Microdermabrasion is ideal to treat sun damaged skin, age spots, superficial pigmentation, fine lines, oily pores, blackheads, and whiteheads. The neck and chest can be treated to remove sun damage often found in those areas.

How Long Does Treatment Take & How Many Treatments Will I Need?

One of the main benefits of Microdermabrasion is that the entire procedure can be done in as little as 15 minutes. Individual Microdermabrasion treatments are recommended every four weeks. Six sessions of each treatment are recommended depending on skin condition and concerns. Maintenance sessions should be sought to keep skin healthy and glowing.

What happens after the treatment?

Afterwards a soothing toner is applied to the face, followed with a hydrating cream and sunblock. This treatment creates a smoother texture and promotes the growth of healthy new cells.

Are there any risks?

Microdermabrasion is one of the safest rejuvenation procedures available today. It is unusual to develop complications from this treatment.
